Dark enough that the Milky Way casts a shadow.

Every tent has clear roof panels with a curtain you tie back, so you can watch it from bed. The darkness here is measured, not marketing. We sit in a Bortle Class 2 sky, the second-darkest rating that exists.

What's in every tent

All five are the same 19.5 foot bell tent, 289 square feet with an 11 foot ceiling. Everything below is included in the rate, every night, for your whole group.

The Bathhouse

Clean up, then sit a while

A cabin with private hot showers, toilets and sinks, and coffee waiting in the morning. Out front there's a rope swing hanging from a giant oak, a dome climber, and a basket of nets and buckets for kids headed to the creek. You can park here and walk over the bridge, or drive straight across the creek and park in the pasture opposite your tent, which is the easy way to unload.

Before You Come

Questions we get asked

Do I need to bring bedding or a tent? +
No. The tent is set up and the bed is made when you arrive. All bedding, towels, and blankets are provided. Bring clothes, food, and firewood if you'd rather not buy it here.
Is there a bathroom in the tent? +
No. The bathhouse is a short walk and has private hot showers, flush toilets and sinks, plus coffee in the morning and the Wi‑Fi.
Are the tents heated and air conditioned? +
Yes, every one of them. Canvas cools faster than a house though, so if you are coming in December or January, pack warm layers for the night.

Are pets allowed? +
Yes, dogs are welcome, and there are no breed restrictions. Tents carry a $25 pet fee per stay, not per night, which covers the extra cleaning canvas needs. Keep them leashed around the other tents and the horses, and clean up after them.
Can I bring my ATV, dirt bike, or horses? +
All three. Unload at your tent and ride our own single track, then carry on into the national forest. Horses are welcome with advance notice. Helmets required, daylight riding only.

Before You Come

Finding your tent

Five tents along one dirt drive. Four sit across a small creek with their own bridge, and Wandering Willow is at the far end with no bridge at all.

Getting inCome in on Hwy 19 or Hwy 72. Hwy 72 has the least gravel. Do not take Hwy A if you are pulling a trailer.
At the bathhousePark by the walnut and walk over the bridge, or drive across the creek and park in the pasture opposite your tent. That is the easy way to unload.
